Meet the Makers
At Better Wheel Workshops, we believe the things you use every day should feel better, last longer, and create less waste.
We’re Jeff and Fiona Chevalier — a small Vermont-based husband-and-wife team designing and handcrafting sustainable wooden drink sleeves and outdoor accessories built for real life.
What started nearly a decade ago as a small workshop experiment became TreeSleeve: a handcrafted wooden can cooler designed to replace the soggy, disposable neoprene sleeves that seem to multiply in every drawer, campsite, and cooler bag in America.
Every TreeSleeve is made with real hardwood, hand-finished in Vermont, and built to bring a little more warmth, humor, and craftsmanship to everyday moments — whether you’re around a campfire, at a backyard barbecue, on the lake, or just relaxing with friends.
We believe good products should:
- Be reusable and sustainable
- Feel natural in your hands
- Tell a story
- Age beautifully over time
- Be made by real people, not anonymous factories
Our workshop combines traditional woodworking, modern design, and a deep appreciation for durable American-made goods. We source materials carefully, build in small batches, and continue to refine every product we make by hand.
Over the years, our products have found homes with campers, craft beer lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, wedding parties, breweries, gift shops, and people simply looking for a more thoughtful alternative to plastic and foam drinkware.
You may also know us from our original product name, Woodzie. After a lengthy trademark dispute with a much larger corporation, we reintroduced our flagship product under a new name: TreeSleeve. While the name changed, the mission stayed exactly the same — creating sustainable, handcrafted products with personality, durability, and purpose.
Thank you for supporting small-scale American manufacturing, handmade craftsmanship, and independent makers.
From our Vermont workshop to your next adventure — cheers.
