Why We Renamed Woodzie to TreeSleeve
Why We Renamed Woodzie to TreeSleeve
For nearly a decade, our flagship product was known as the Woodzie.
It started as a simple idea: create a handcrafted wooden alternative to disposable foam and neoprene drink sleeves.
Over the years, Woodzie found its way into homes, campsites, breweries, gift shops, and coolers across the country.
Then came an unexpected challenge.
A trademark dispute forced us to make a difficult decision. Rather than spend years in court, we chose to focus our energy on what matters most: making great products and serving our customers.
So Woodzie became TreeSleeve.
While the name changed, everything else stayed the same.
The same Vermont workshop.
The same handcrafted hardwood construction.
The same commitment to sustainability.
The same mission to create products that improve everyday experiences while reducing waste.
In some ways, the challenge strengthened our business. It reminded us that our customers weren’t attached to a name alone—they supported the craftsmanship, values, and people behind the product.
Today, TreeSleeve represents the next chapter in our story.
A new name. The same product. The same passion for creating something worth holding onto.
